Create a playlist from your library of imported tracks.
Create from LibraryGuess the artist and title of songs, then place them on a timeline sorted by release year.
Single Player
Hear a song snippet, type your artist and title guesses, then place the track card on a year timeline. Cards sort left-to-right oldest-to-newest. A 30-second timer runs each round — it controls the speed bonus only, it doesn't end the round.
Local Multiplayer
2–8 players take turns. Each player places a card on the timeline; if the placement is wrong, other players can steal it by placing it correctly or challenge to swap positions. Earn tokens to power steals and challenges.
Scoring
- 100 pts — Correct placement on the timeline
- +50 pts — Speed bonus, scaling linearly from 50 at 0s down to 0 at 30s (awarded only when placement is correct)
- +25 / +25 pts — Artist and title guess bonuses. Both require artist and title to fuzzy-match; for tracks without featured artists you get both, for a total of 50.
- +25 pts — Featured artists bonus (tracks with collaborators only): awarded when artist+title are correct and every featured artist is also matched. Replaces the second 25 above.
- Max 200 pts/round in every case (100 + 50 + 25 + 25).
Guess Modes
Available in both single player and multiplayer.
- Type answers — The game checks your typed artist/title for fuzzy matches automatically. No penalty.
- Say answers (head-guess) — Speak your answers aloud; self-report what you got correct. Your final score is multiplied by 0.9 (10% penalty) to compensate for the honor system.
Overrides — when the game gets it wrong
Song metadata in our database isn't perfect. If the game marks your placement or guess wrong because the stored year, artist, or title is off, you can override the result.
- Tap ⚠ Wrong data in database on the round result toast.
- Pick what's wrong (year, artist/title, or both) and write a short comment explaining the actual correct value.
- Single player: the override applies immediately and your score is corrected.
- Multiplayer: the proposal goes to the other players — all of them must agree before it takes effect.
- Your comment is saved against the track so the data can be fixed for everyone.
Playlists
Choose from Built-in Playlists (Popular Songs, Billboard Year-End), import a Spotify playlist URL, or import a CSV file from Exportify. You can also create a custom playlist from your imported library.
End Conditions
- Rounds — Always required; sets the total rounds (single) or rounds-per-player (multiplayer).
- Cards collected — Optional: end early when a player collects N cards.
- Points — Optional: end early when a player reaches N total points.
